HIATUS Unfortunately, and I wanted to avoid this, Im going to have to put Jason on a temporary hiatus. My doctor has recommended I do as little drawing as possible over the next month or so, and that means Ive got to focus on work and take a break from comics. Im gonna use that time to write scripts and prepare for when Im back in full swing. Ill miss sharing this with you! Ill be back soon, promise. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions about drawing related injuries, or just wanna say hi! Id love it if you did <3

I'm sorry to here that but I understand . As a artist myself(graphic Artist) I quite understand what your going through take care of yourself first . I know it maybe hard at first but the doctors really do know their stuff .I'm just gonna say it known I wouldn't be surprised if Jason and Adela end up together if so talk about IRONIC but I know that won't happen this being BL .

Well, if I have to wait a month or so, at least I have that top panel to tide me over. Get well soon. : )

I hope Lon isn't too hurt by this experience...
I feel that Jason's betrayal is made even worse because he exudes the innocent, naive victim a lot - Lon will not see it coming at all.
Like if someone's a confident hot-mess a little part of you wouldn't be surprised they fell repeatedly into someone else's bed.

I think it's that aspect of Jason that I find most intriguing - he's like the unwilling hero (or anti-hero at this point). The way he presents himself is that he never WANTS to do things (sing, model, cheat etc.) but the roles are thrust upon him. Standard trope for 'hero responsibility', but interesting to see it for commonplace and/or morally ambiguous roles.

Interesting that one of his few moments of decisive control was in fucking Elijah just now, Elijah was holding back and it was Jason who chose to do it.

Definitely an interesting (albeit infuriating) character. I'd be interested to see how Jason's immoral/dark path leads him to a place of self-discovery, especially that of his control/agency in his own life. Maybe he ends up with neither Lon or Elijah, and the lesson was not 'who do I love more' but 'How do I love myself'.
As the goddess Ru Paul says - 'If you can't love yourself how in the hell are you gunna love somebody else?' AMEN

Feel better!! All the work you put into this comic is really amazing! Take the time off and hopefully you'll recover quickly! For now, I'll just pretend that they're taking a long, dramatic pause in their conversation. Thanks for the amazing story so far, and can't wait to hear back from you!!

(Now excuse me while I go re-read the entire comic over the course of the next month.)

:( So I guess this comic series is dead? That's a shame. It was sooooo good.

I still check once a week, even though I know it will show up on my favorites page if there's an update. If the comic ends here, my head-canon ending will look a lot like that top panel -- even if I have to use wizards to make it happen.

Miss you, J.

@JesBelle: the truth is, taking a break kind of made me realise some things about this comic and what it was doing to my head, and I've sort of decided to put it aside for a while to focus on something more positive - part of my hand problems were caused by excessive stress and as much as I want to finish it, Jason was just making it worse. I wanted to complete it in a year before I did my next comic and I couldn't do it. I've decided to throw myself into the Flying Ship comic as I've been planning it for about 5 years. I feel really bad for leaving it here though, It must be as frustrating for you guys as it has been for me, but I have been a lot happier since I stopped. Message me if you wanna talk about it!!!
